Agitate, Negotiate, Litigate? Conservation Planning in North County

 

ctober 15th will be an opportunity to learn the latest about habitat plans in the north and northeast portions of San Diego County. The MSCP sub-area Plan in the county has recently been opposed by the San Diego Chapter of the Sierra Club.

The MHCP is moving ahead. Find out what is being done and what the public needs to do to improve the prospects for conservation in the critical remaining habitat areas in North County. The panel will include: Michael Beck, Endangered Habitats League; Allison Rolfe, Southwest Center for Biological Diversity; Janet Anderson, Sierra Club; Cindy Burascano, California Native Plant Society; Duncan McFetridge, SOFAR.

  Directions:

Exit 5 Freeway on Vista (at Hwy 78). Go west. Turn left on S. Coast Highway and go south. The Nature Center is on your left just north of Buena Vista Lagoon.
